ABOUT THIS TUTORIAL

These are instructions for aligning an image in OmniUpdate.

This tutorial assumes that you already know how to add an image to your page. If you are unsure about this step, please review the WYSIWYG pt. 3 instructions in Chapter 8 of the Omni 101 Learning Exchange tutorials again.

Aligning an Image in OmniUpdate

Log in by clicking on the copyright symbol in the footer of the page and click on the Edit tab to edit your page.

INSERT/EDIT IMAGE

Click the image on your page to select it. Right click and select “Insert/Edit Image.” Or, click on the image button in the tool bar.

Note: If you don’t know how to add an image, you can learn how by reviewing chapter 8 of the Omni 101 Learning Exchange tutorials.

APPEARANCE TAB

Click on the appearance tab in the dialog box that appears.

ALIGNMENT OPTIONS

Under alignment, select “left” or “right” depending on how you would like the image placed on the page and click update.

PADDING

Sometimes you need to add padding around an image. To add padding, click the image again, right click and select “Insert/Edit Image”. The “vertical space” and “horizontal space” fields add space above, below, and to the left and right of the image. Add a value of 10 to both the vertical and horizontal space fields and click update.

Note: You can increase or decrease the numerical values for the horizontal and vertical space attributes. The values suggested are just to show you how this would work on your page.

SAVE AND PUBLISH

Once you are done editing your page, click save and publish.
