Sometimes your slider images aren’t big enough to fit in your slider. Other times you may need to resize them so that your left caption box doesn’t block someone’s face. Here’s how to do that.

Open and resize your image in Photoshop. Many of our sliders are 650×300, but you should double check your dimensions before beginning.

If your image is too small, open a New File in Photoshop with the correct dimensions for your slider, and fill it with black background color. Then Copy and Paste your image into your new black image, moving it all the way to the right.

After you’ve opened your image in Photoshop, you’ll need to add a vector mask.

Next, select the Gradient tool. Make sure the gradient fades from darkest to light, and that black is the foreground color.

Then, click a spot in the black box, near the photo, and click and drag to the right.
